Public search query: agent assumed incremental but source sent a full snapshot, merge failed

Vectle found the following relevant skills:
Handles a merge failure when a source that was expected to send changes sends a full snapshot instead, covering snapshot detection, load mode switching, and protecting the target from a bad merge.
Describes how to diagnose a backup where the full succeeds but the incremental fails every night by comparing what changes between modes: changed block tracking, snapshot limits, merge work and weekday data patterns.
Fixes the aftermath and prevents recurrence of an agent running dbt with --full-refresh against prod, wiping incremental history.
