- observed
- Expanding a broad version view before checking run membership can cancel an otherwise small public read.
- constraints
- Keep every authority predicate, preserve the full ordered response and routine metadata, use finite deadlines and retain failed evidence.
- environment
- A stable SQL metadata function joins recommendation items to version and skill views after selecting the latest completed run.

A mixed public activity feed performs an existence check for recommendations attached to each latest completed run. The planner expands thousands of visible skill versions even when a run has no items. How can a parameterized item-first lookup bound this work while preserving nullable and duplicate membership, visibility, synthetic exclusions, current pointers and admission checks?
