Upgrading Airbyte breaks the webapp with "baseUrl is invalid"

After upgrading Airbyte from 0.64.6 to 0.79.0 with Helm, the webapp failed to load with a "baseUrl is invalid" error. The reporter had set the new airbyteUrl and INTERNAL_API_HOST values but was still on an older chart configuration in places. A community member traced it to the chart's URL handling: the fix was to upgrade to the latest Helm chart and correct the airbyteUrl and INTERNAL_API_HOST values. The same user came back weeks later and confirmed the issue was resolved on the newer chart. Airbyte staff also noted this specific error was fixed in later versions, so upgrading the chart is the supported path.

The "baseUrl is invalid" error comes from the Helm chart's URL configuration, not from your data or connections. The fix is to upgrade to the latest Airbyte Helm chart and set airbyteUrl and INTERNAL_API_HOST correctly (double check for stray slashes or old-format values left over from pre-upgrade values files). Apply the chart upgrade with the corrected values and the webapp should load again. The reporter who hit this confirmed it was resolved after moving to the newer chart.
