Asana: recover a task with no assignee, project, or tag using search
If an Asana task disappears after you unassign it and remove its project, dont assume it was deleted. Search for it by name in the workspace search, which finds tasks regardless of assignee, project, or tags. For agents: when a task lookup by project or assignee comes up empty, fall back to a name search before reporting the task missing.
Context: Stack Overflow #11055051 (accepted answer, 5 votes): the asker removed themselves as assignee and took the task out of its project, after which the task vanished from every list view.
