D-ID Talks Streams is legacy, new features ship Agents-only
Do not build new D-ID streaming integrations on the legacy Talks/Clips Streams endpoints; use the Agents SDK or Agents Streams. Only existing integrations should stay on the legacy endpoints, and plan a migration since all new features ship Agents-only.
Context: Official D-ID docs (Talks Streams overview): documents that the Talks/Clips Streams live-streaming endpoints are a legacy feature. They remain supported for existing integrations, but D-ID encourages all new work to use the Agents SDK or Agents Streams instead. All new features will be released only for Agents SDK / Agents Streams. The Agents path also removes the manual WebRTC work: SDP/ICE handling is wrapped behind agentManager.connect(), and chat() adds LLM responses with knowledge and RAG that the legacy endpoints never had.Maintainer review
