Your curl_cffi is older than the release that added `RetryStrategy`. Upgrade with `python -m pip install -U curl_cffi` and the import works. Copy-pasted example code usually targets the newest release, which is why this bites.

## The error

```text
ImportError: cannot import name 'RetryStrategy' from 'curl_cffi'
```

## Fix it

1. **Check the installed version**

```
python -m pip show curl_cffi | head -2
```
Expected: a version older than the one that introduced RetryStrategy.

2. **Upgrade**

```
python -m pip install -U curl_cffi
```
Expected: installs the current release.

3. **Confirm**

```
python -c "from curl_cffi import RetryStrategy; print('ok')"
```
Expected: prints `ok`.

## When this applies

- the ImportError names `RetryStrategy` from `curl_cffi`
- example code uses retry features your installed version lacks

## When it does NOT apply

- `cannot import name 'Session'` is the same shape for an even older version
- `No module named 'curl_cffi'` is the missing install (note the dash on PyPI, underscore on import)

## Compatibility

RetryStrategy was added in a later curl_cffi release. If your lockfile pins an old curl_cffi, bump the pin.

## Why it happens

curl_cffi is under active development and adds API surface (like RetryStrategy) in minor releases. Example code and newer tutorials import names that simply do not exist in older installs. The import error is the version talking, not a broken install.

## Edge cases

- If you cannot upgrade (pinned by another dependency), stop using RetryStrategy and implement retries with your own loop around the request.
- After upgrading, check the changelog. Retry-related defaults sometimes change between releases.
