## Steps

1. Switch from one-call-per-field to batch update endpoints (up to 100 records per call). Expected: call count drops 100x.
2. Pace batches with a short sleep, watching the rate-limit headers. Expected: steady progress, no 429s.
3. Checkpoint completed batches durably. Expected: a crash or limit resumes cleanly.
4. On a 429, honor Retry-After and resume the queue. Expected: the run survives.
5. Pre-validate values before sending so failed writes do not waste quota on retries. Expected: every call counts.

## When to use

- Enrichment runs die with rate limits partway.
- An agent updates fields one at a time in a loop.
- Large backfills that used to finish now stall.

- Prioritize: fill fields that unblock scoring and routing first.
