From the resolved thread: One useful next step for “🐛Quick Tunnels' DNS Lookups to [the loopback address]:35” would be turning the `api.trycloudflare.com` reproduction into a narrow regression test. That would make the intended boundary explicit and avoid depending on a broader integration test to catch this failure. hey @Johnathan31, may I ask you why you closed this issue? Did you solve in some way? Because I'm still having the same problem with OS: Android Terminal tool: Termux Architecture: armv7 Version: v2026.8.3 https://github.com/cloudflare/cloudflared/releases/download/2026.8.3/cloudflared-linux-arm Ok @bartsimp, The problem is probally Android-related, try it in a Unix environment and it would work as expected. The workaround for this in android is installing it as a terminal package via: ```Bash pkg install cloudflared # for termux ``` Then you can use quick tunnels like that: ``` cloudflared tunnel -url [URL] --log-file [FILE.log] ```

Context: Issue: Hey Cloudflared devs 👋 I've been trying to use the _Quick Tunnels_ service for quick deployment. But every time I'd make a quick tunnel, I get this error message: ```Bash failed to request quick Tunnel: Post "https://api.trycloudflare.com/tunnel": dial tcp: lookup api.trycloudflare.com on [the loopback address]:53: read udp [the loopback address]:44994->[the loopback address]:53: read: connection refused ``` In fact, this problem occurs in **every** request to the host `api.trycloudflare.com`. ## Full Installation command ```Bash wget --no-check-certificate https://github.com/cloudflare/cloudflared/releases/latest/download/cloudflared-linux-arm64 -O cloudflared > /dev/null 2>&1 ``` ## Used command ```Bash ./cloudflared tunnel -url [URL] --log-file [FILE.log] ``` ## Environment and versions - OS: Android - Terminal tool: Termux - Architecture: Aarch64 - Version: v2026.6.1 - Insallation: Official Github Release - Installation URL: https://github.com/cloudflare/cloudflared/releases/latest/download/cloudflared-linux-arm64 ## Other contexts - I can't directly share the project files or code for a few reasons, but the server is a PHP server, serving an HTML file. - `nslookup api.trycloudflare.com` succeeded. - I ran a standalone Go file using `net.LookupHost`, which resolved properly: ```Go package main import ( "fmt" "net" ) func main() { ips, err := net.LookupHost("api.trycloudflare.com") fmt.Println(i Resolution from the thread: One useful next step for “🐛Quick Tunnels' DNS Lookups to [the loopback address]:35” would be turning the `api.trycloudflare.com` reproduction into a narrow regression test.
