Neon pgvector: type "vector" does not exist on a fresh branch
Neon pgvector: type "vector" does not exist on a fresh branch: : the vector extension is not enabled on that database.
[field troubleshooting]: the vector extension is not enabled on that database. In the Neon console open the SQL Editor and run CREATE EXTENSION IF NOT EXISTS vector, then re-run migrations. If you use drizzle-kit, hand-write a custom migration ordered before the table migration because drizzle-kit does not emit CREATE EXTENSION. Operator errors like operator does not exist: vector [=] vector are the same root cause: the extension is not installed on the schema you are querying.
Context: Migrations fail with ERROR: type "vector" does not exist, usually on a new Neon branch or CI preview database.
