Aptible Postgres: PITR needs PG13 plus one day of retention, and memory settings are autotuned
For PITR, use PostgreSQL 13 or newer and keep backup retention at one day minimum; older versions or short retention silently leave you without it. Do not hand-tune shared_buffers unless you accept losing Aptible's automatic memory scaling.
Context: Official docs (Aptible PostgreSQL): documents that point-in-time recovery auto-enables for PostgreSQL 13+ only when the backup retention environment is at least one day, and that memory settings like shared_buffers are autotuned by Aptible (overriding them disables the automatic scaling behavior).Maintainer review
