The situation:

Running the browserless/chrome docker image on an M1 Mac for cucumber tests that talk to Chrome via the devtools protocol. The container dies with: `qemu-x86_64: Could not open '/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2': No such file or directory`. Same image works fine on amd64 CI machines. The arm64-tagged image produced the same qemu error at the time. The problem is the x86_64 ChromeDriver binary trying to run under qemu user-mode emulation without the x86_64 loader present.

What actually fixes it (verified in the thread):

Enable Docker Desktop's "Rosetta for x86/amd64 emulation" (in newer Docker Desktop versions it moved from Features in Development to the General tab), then force the amd64 image: `docker run --platform linux/amd64 -p 3000:3000 browserless/chrome`. In docker-compose set `platform: linux/amd64` on the service. The maintainer closed the issue with this as the accepted solution and multiple M1 users confirmed it works.
