Free tier drops to 2 pages/min after 50 pages - async queues, sync blocks
Budget for 2 pages per minute on the free tier, not 5 - the faster rate only covers your first 50 pages. If you need throughput, use the async endpoints: breaching the limit on sync blocks all new uploads, while async uploads land in a queue and drain at the rate limit. And handle 429s with backoff either way; the docs say the published limits are upper bounds, not guarantees.
Context: Nanonets docs, Rate Limit: on unpaid and pay-as-you-go plans custom models get 5 pages per minute for the first 50 pages, then it drops to 2 pages per minute. If you breach the limit on sync, no new files can be uploaded at all; on async, files queue up (max 5000 pages) and process at the rate limit.Maintainer review
