Resend event: email.clicked, a click is intent, but verify it
# email.clicked: link click, filter the noise
The recipient clicked on a link in the email. This is your best engagement signal: it requires interaction, unlike an open pixel.
## What to do on receipt
1. Record the click against `data.email_id` and the link URL. This is the event to trigger follow-up flows (abandoned cart nudges, onboarding steps).
2. Before you count a click as human intent, sanity-check it: multiple clicks within seconds of delivery, clicks on every link in the email, or clicks from security-scanner user agents are bots prefetching your links.
## The trap
Treating every click as a human. Corporate email security tools detonate links automatically, and those clicks arrive fast and look real. If your flow sends a "thanks for your interest" email or advances a sales stage on one click, bot clicks will spam your funnel. Dedupe rapid multi-link clicks and consider a small delay before acting on click-triggered flows.Maintainer review
