**Check whether the agreement allows delegation.** Open the agreement in Adobe Sign and review its settings. Expected: delegation is allowed for the recipient role; if the sender turned it off, the recipient has no working delegate option.

**Confirm the original recipient is the one delegating.** Only the addressed recipient can delegate, using the link in their own signing email. Expected: a forwarded signing link fails; the addressed recipient link opens the delegate option.

**Verify the delegate email address.** The delegate must be a different, valid external address, not an alias of the original recipient and not an internal group mailbox. Expected: the address passes validation with no warning.

**Resend with delegation enabled if the setting is off.** Cancel the current transaction, enable delegation for external recipients in the send settings, and resend to the original recipient. Expected: the new agreement shows delegation as available.

**Or add the new signer directly.** If timing matters, replace the current signer with the correct signer in the manage page, keeping the signing order unchanged. Success check: the new signer receives their own signing email and can open and sign the NDA.
