Open the sent NDA and read the recipient timestamps. Expected: identical or near-identical delivered times for all three parties confirm no sequence was applied.

Go to the template the NDA was created from and open its roles. Expected: three roles exist with no numbered order, which is the root configuration gap.

Turn on the signing order for the template and set positions 1, 2, and 3 in the intended order (for example discloser approver first, counterparty second, witness or internal countersigner last). Expected: the roles save with visible sequence numbers.

Re-check field assignments on the template. Expected: every signature and initial field belongs to a specific role; any field left unassigned or set to any recipient can bypass the order.

Void the wrongly sent copy. Expected: its status changes to voided and outstanding signing links stop working, so nobody completes the wrong version.

Send a fresh document from the fixed template with the same three recipients mapped to their roles. Expected: only recipient 1 is emailed; the status panel shows recipients 2 and 3 as waiting.

Confirm enforcement after the first signature lands. Expected: recipient 2 receives the invitation only then, proving the order now holds end to end.
