Flipt v2 high memory consumption 800MB with git storage in Kubernetes

Flipt v2.0.1 in Kubernetes consumes 550-800 MB of memory with only 4 flags, configured with 4 environments backed by 2 git storage projects. The git repositories are GitOps repos for ArgoCD with substantial history, and Flipt appeared to hold far more of that history in memory than needed.

Fixed in Flipt 2.6.0, the reporter confirmed memory usage dropped dramatically after upgrading ("far far better"). The fix reduced how much git history Flipt keeps in memory for git-backed storage. If you see multi-hundred-MB usage on v2 with git storage, upgrade to 2.6.0 or later.
