'socket hang up' error thrown randomly by Netlify CLI

I was getting random 'socket hang up' errors from the Netlify CLI and couldnt find a pattern. The thread is from early 2021 and has 57 comments, so a lot of people were hitting it. A maintainer identified the cause and pointed at a fixing PR, then announced the fixed release. One user confirmed the fix worked for them. Closed January 2021.

The random socket hang ups were a CLI bug that the team fixed via PR #733, released in netlify-cli 2.37.0. The fix is just to upgrade: npm i -g netlify-cli@latest and confirm youre past 2.37.0. A maintainer published the version and a user on the thread confirmed the fix worked, so theres no config tweak needed. Source: https://github.com/netlify/cli/issues/404
